If you want to keep manners and etiquette at the forefront of your child’s life, consider the University of Manners classes as a great, diverse starting point. These life skill classes focus on promoting proper etiquette in social situations as well as handling themselves as individuals. They also educate the children on proper manners to make chewing with their mouth open a thing of the past. Classed offered include: Home Economics 101 & 102, Table Manners 101 & 102, Social Etiquette 101 & 102, Everyday Etiquette, Respect Etiquette, Conversation Etiquette, and Body Language. University of Manners is for children age 6 – 10 and 11 – 16 years.
Cost: $30 per student/ (3 weeks) 30 – 45 minutes per class. Pick 3 classes and enroll in University of Manners.
Home Economics 101
Home economics are the basic skills needed for our daily life. Our life skill classes focus on life skills and are skills that every child needs. Most of the current educational school programs lack these lessons. We offer an amazing home economics course. Students will learn how to prepare meals, how to replace a button, housekeeping and much more.
Home Economics 102
Home economics are the basic skills needed for our daily life. Our life skill classes focus on life skills and are skills that every child needs. Most of the current educational school programs lack these lessons. We offer an amazing home economics course. Students will learn how to write a check, budgeting, paying bills, child development, making appointments, health and hygiene and more. Must take Home Economics 101 to enroll in this class.
Table Manners 101
If you want to introduce your child to table manners this is the right class. Children will learn to properly dine at home, how to set the table, napkin etiquette using utensils properly, eating difficult foods and more.
Table Manners 102
If you want to introduce your child to table manners this is the right class. Children will learn to properly dine in a restaurant, navigate their way around a standard and formal table setting, how to pass foods, ordering foods, and more.
Social Etiquette 101
One of the most important jobs we have as parents is to teach our kids social skills. We have to teach them and correct them daily in order for them to understand the importance and incorporate it into their daily lives. We show them how to interact in a polite manner. Students will learn how to greet people, make eye contact, let others finish speaking before they speak when to put away the electronics, saying please, thank you, and excuse me and much more.
Social Etiquette 102
One of the most important jobs we have as parents is to teach our kids social skills. We have to teach them and correct them daily in order for them to understand the importance and incorporate it into their daily lives. Children will learn how to give and receive invitations, RSVP, greet hosts, greet guests, dress appropriately for the occasion, shake hands, meet and introduce, converse with others and more.
Everyday Etiquette
Etiquette is very important in our everyday life. As kids go on with their daily activities they need to be aware of the rules that they should follow to make life easier for themselves and everyone else around them. There’s a correct way to do everything! Your child will become more self-confident when they know the rules and become socially aware of what’s expected of them. It’s better to make them aware of what is socially expected of them before they are publicly embarrassed or find themselves in an uncomfortable situation. Students will learn to shake hands properly, how to properly meet and introduce themselves to others, hold doors open, use polite words, and so much more.
Respect Etiquette
If we are not teaching our children respect and kindness along with proper manners we may not be helping them be the best person they can be. Sign up for our respect etiquette course and learn how to be kind to others as well as how to show proper respect to others and yourself. Students will learn to hold the door open for others, when and why use please and thank you, showing respect to elders, when to give up your seat and so much more. Students will learn that a small act of kindness goes a long way.
Conversation Class
Do you have a kid that doesn’t speak up because they’re afraid of saying the wrong thing? Would you like your kid to know how to start a conversation, keep a conversation going or maybe even respond to a question with more than a one-word answer?Does your child speak in a low tone? Turn a quiet kid into a confident kid with our conversations class. Our students will practice conversing with others. Students will learn what to say and when to say it and why not say it in this fun very informative class.
Body Language Class
Kids will learn that body language is extremely important. Body language is a type of nonverbal communication and it speaks for them. Students will learn that body language is used to reveal our true feelings and emotions. Learn the different types of body language and how to become more aware of your body language as well as what you’re communicating through your body language.
